Making Willow's First Easter Bonnet

We went out and got a few bits from Poundland to decorate Willow's first ever Easter bonnet a few days ago and she was desperate to open and play with all the bits so we got cracking with making it. She's not at school (of course) or nursery yet so it was just made for fun.

Willow loved wearing the hat when it had nothing on it as you can see.

To make her bonnet we just used most of the things we got from Poundland and a heavy helping of PVA glue to stick things on. We started with the little grey bunnies and spaced them out with the foam eggs. We then gave each bunny a carrot each (you know in case they got hungry). The lovely birds nest on the top was then surrounded by handfuls of pink feathers as Willow said more more more.

After cleaning up so many feathers from every part of the house and after the glue dried I let willow have a play with it. I did try to get a photo of her with it on but #toddlerreality crept in and she said it was too heavy for her head and cried at even the suggestion of wearing it. Ah well you do you my little headstrong girly. Nevertheless she still loved making it and playing with it after so all in all it was a fun craft. Not too bad for a first Easter bonnet.
