Hey Duggee

Hey Duggee is a show about a big brown dog who runs a nursery/scout kind of club called the squirrel club. The five little animal children who call themselves the squirrels earn a new badge each episode when they learn a new skill or lesson. There is also a huge cast of side characters who are all around from time to time.
Why Willow Likes it
It has simple animation and it's got the silly factor in spades. Willow loves silly humour and colourful things, it also has some really catchy songs in it from time to time and this is her absolute favourite show in the whole world.
Why I like it
Firstly whoever writes this puts in so many references that are for parents in its humour that makes it a joy to watch for kids and adults too. If you look a little deeper too though there are some lovely subtle things that are really great lessons for kids. The first of which is that Duggee himself is a male nursery teacher which is great in normalising a male in a traditionally female role. Next is the little crocodile character of Happy, he is adopted in the show his parents are elephants unlike the rest of the squirrels who have parents that are the same as them. I also like that they never really talk about him being adopted everyone just accepts it as fine and normal which of course it is, that's a lovely lesson for children. The badges themselves are such a handy thing, for example, there is a toothbrushing badge episode with a catchy song and as a result of using this when showing Willow how to brush her teeth, she now loves brushing them.
I would recommend this as a show if you are looking for something for your child to watch. It's funny and entertaining. Give it a go.
Peppa Pig

Peppa pig is a show about a little piggy called Peppa, her little brother George and her mummy and Daddy plus a host of other characters going about their daily lives.
Why Willow Likes it
Willow loves this show for the same reasons as every other child in the world does, it's incredibly relatable for toddlers. Peppa has a cheeky factor they seem to like too. The episodes are short and about things that Willow either loves to do or wants to do. I mean what 2 year old doesn't love jumping in muddy puddles?
Why I like it
My main reason at this point after seeing every episode about twenty thousand times is that it entertains Willow indefinitely. Don't get me wrong it is funny at times and has some good lessons in the episodes for children. For example, they introduced a character in a wheelchair to normalise disability and other things like this. I particularly love little George as he is so cute.
If you want your child to watch Peppa Pig then go for it but be aware that they will watch it and watch it and watch it.
Bing

Bing is a show about a rabbit called Bing Bunny who is taken care of by caregiver Flop. Bing is around 3 years old and spends episodes learning lessons about everyday life with a cast of other characters alongside.
Why Willow Likes it
I think Willow identifies with Bing a lot, he is a sweet loving little preschooler bunny who is still learning so much about the world and often getting things wrong the same as all children that age are. She loves the colours and the diverse characters. At the end of each episode, Bing recaps what has happened and what he learned and Willow seems to love this.
Why I like it
I like Bing because of how real it is with the lessons Bing learns. Flop is Bing's caregiver and he is the epitome of parent goals, honestly if I had even half of that guy's patience id be a super parent. He kind of puts most parents to shame. If you want an interesting read lookup 'What is Flop?' on Google and prepare to have your mind blown. Bing is very real though and faces the challenges that all real children do and overcomes them. This show is honestly good for parenting tips.
Bing is a good little show that I would highly recommend if you are in the market for a new show for your little.
The Twirlywoos

The Twirlywoos is a strange little show, there are four of them, Great Big Hoo, Toodle-oo, Chickadee and Chick and their little mischievous friend Peekaboo. They live on a boat and come to shore each episode to learn something.
Why Willow Likes it
Each episode teaches something practical like up and down and round and round or this way that way. It's really simple and easy to understand for kids her age. It's also full of cheeky little physical comedy gags by Peekaboo that she loves.
Why I like it
It strikes me as completely harmless but somehow keeps her attention for quite a while. It combines stop-frame animation and live-action as well. It is so distinctive and like nothing else she watches, it's not story-driven but learning-driven instead.
If you have a preschooler and are looking for a way to teach simple concepts like up and down or over and under then this might help. Give it a go.
Blippi

Blippi is a vlog like, educational show from America you will find on YouTube. Blippi takes kids on adventures to all sorts of places and teaches them about what is done there whilst having so much fun and constantly instilling things like shapes and colours along the way.
Why Willow Likes it
Willow honestly thinks that Blippi is the Bee's knees, she seems to love his energy and finds the things he shows super interesting. She particularly likes the soft play episodes and the excavator episode.
Why I like it
If I could hire Blippi to look after Willow as a nanny I would that guy seems like he would have so much fun with her. He's a grown man with the energy of a 3-year-old. I know it's a character that he is putting on for the show but he still seems fun. He is very sweet and likeable and kids really respond to him.
Blippi is already a worldwide phenomenon so you may have come across him already but if you haven't then be assured that he is a nice safe YouTube channel for kids.
CocoMelon

IMDB says "In the town of Cocomelon, baby JJ and his siblings go on fun everyday adventures with nursery, play, exploration, and learning - situations that any preschooler could relate to. Fun, relatable stories set to toe-tapping songs." I couldn't have put it better myself.
Why Willow Likes it
Willow loves music and singing songs and Cocomelon have some ridiculously catchy songs. She loves Baby JJ and has a doll of his at home as well.
Why I like it
When she watches it she tends to be up and dancing to it if she can be which I like. She is also learning about things like shapes and colours and how to play nice. Don't get me wrong sometimes the repetitive songs can be a bit much for us adults but from time to time I get up and have a dance around with Willow to her Cocomelon songs and it's good fun really.
Willow gets a small amount of screen time most days and usually wants to watch one of the above things, there is nothing wrong with a little bit of screen time as long as it is properly regulated and you know what she is watching is fine for her age group.
